Thomas C. StuckeyThomas C. Stuckey III, M.D.

Dr. Thomas Stuckey is originally from Baton Rouge and received a degree in Biological Engineering from LSU before attending LSU Medical School in New Orleans. He went on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He then returned home to help care for the community that served him so well growing up.

Now, as a member of Eye Specialists of Louisiana, Dr. Stuckey practices comprehensive ophthalmology, performing everything from routine eye exams to complex intraocular surgery. He is an experienced cataract surgeon and offers an array of advanced technologies like laser cataract removal, astigmatism correction, and multifocal lens implants. He also was the first physician in Baton Rouge to offer drop-less cataract surgery – a technique that eliminates the need for the patient to use multiple medicated eyedrops for weeks after surgery. He also offers vision correction with customized, blade-less LASIK.

In addition to his ophthalmology residency, Dr. Stuckey completed two years of general surgery training that he puts to work performing various oculoplastic procedures such as eyelid lifts, repair of lid malpositions, and removal of eyelid lesions. He is also experienced in periocular cosmetic procedures like blepharoplasty, Botox injections, and facial fillers.

Dr. Stuckey is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

David M. DragonDavid M. Dragon, M.D.

Since 1987, Dr. Dragon has been providing eye care for the patients of the Baton Rouge region. Dr. Dragon received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of New Orleans. He received his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University Medical School. After his studies at LSU, Dr. Dragon completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at Ochsner Foundation Hospital and residency training in ophthalmology at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. He then went on to subspecialty training in Cornea and External Disease at the University of Florida.

Dr. Dragon, a cofounder of Eye Specialists of Louisiana, has over 25 years of surgical/medical experience. Dr. Dragon has given various presentations at national society meetings and has also had his work published in leading medical journals, including Ophthalmology and Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Tim D. JohnsonTim D. Johnson, M.D.

Dr. Johnson has 25 plus years of surgical/medical experience treating glaucoma and cataracts. Prior to co-founding Eye Specialists of Louisiana in 1990, Dr. Johnson served as the Chief of Ophthalmology at the Ochsner Clinic of Baton Rouge.

Dr. Johnson graduated from the Louisiana State University Development of Zoology and went on to receive his Medical Degree from the LSU Medical School, in New Orleans. Next, he completed a Flex Internship at Earl K. Long Memorial Hospital, and then three years of Ophthalmology Residency at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans. He then did a year of specialized Glaucoma Fellowship training and research at the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Johnson has written a chapter in the Glaucoma textbook, published Ophthalmology articles, presented his research studies and done medical lecturing/teaching.

Dr. Johnson enjoys brining the burgeoning Ophthalmology progress, innovation, and science to his patients, both surgically and medically.

Lilly ForstallLillian M. Forstall, O.D.

Dr. Forstall is a native of Denham Springs, Louisiana. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from The University of Southern Mississippi. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Forstall returned to Louisiana to complete a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease.

Dr. Forstall joined Eye Specialists of Louisiana in 2019. She practices medical and therapeutic optometry, diagnosing, treating and managing most ocular diseases. She performs comprehensive eye exams, pediatric eye exams, soft and rigid contact lens fittings, and performs minor surgical procedures.
