Meet Nicholas Braud, M.D.

A Louisiana native, Dr Nicholas Braud grew up in Metairie and attended undergrad at LSU where he received a degree in Biology prior to completing medical school at LSUHSC in New Orleans. He then started his residency with an intern year of internal medicine at Tulane before finishing his ophthalmology training at Ochsner/LSU Health in Shreveport. He and his family now return to Baton Rouge to join Eye Specialists of Louisiana.

Dr Braud is a well-trained comprehensive ophthalmologist offering everything from annual eye exams and diabetic screenings to premium cataract surgery with multifocal lens implants, refractive surgery, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). He also offers drop-less cataract surgery, thus reducing patient’s burden of having to use numerous eyedrops for weeks following surgery.

Dr Braud is a member of both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and has also presented several research studies.
